Happy New Year from Island Vignettes & Frank Sinatra!

Happy New Year to the Island Vignettes family! May your 2013 be filled with peace, prosperity & spirituality!

From the bottom of my heart, “Thank You” to each of you – my extended family. Every click, every return visit, every comment, every like, from every continent, was most appreciated!

According to Island Vignettes’ Annual report, 600 people reached the top of Mt. Everest in 2012. This blog got about 7,600 views in 2012. If every person who reached the top of Mt. Everest viewed this blog, it would have taken 13 years to get that many views”!

I had fun writing from the heights of the Blue Mountains and streets of Port Spain. I was privileged to inhale the musical greatness that is Trench town – home of Bob Marley. Scribing the accomplishments of the Burgher Gully inner city youth was perhaps only trumped by an unlikely camel ride on a Montego Bay beach front! I pray that your taste-buds were as infused as mine by my pumpkin soup & shrimp curry adventures as together, we mused on the idiosyncrasy that is Caribbean culture.

Our musings on the Caribbean comments to the US General elections was quickly followed by serious explorations of HIV/AIDS, Domestic violence and Child Abuse.

This journey was uncharted territory and your unwavering support was an unexpected gift. Here’s to our new adventures in 2013! I look forward to exploring your world as you surf through mine! Here’s to bringing down the curtain on 2012 with the knowledge that we each did it our way – and succeeded. Cheers!
